Terms of Service — Tovma
Effective date: 14 July 2026
These terms are a binding agreement between you and Anton Belov, an individual established at Nemanjina 3, 11000 Savski Venac, Belgrade, Serbia ("we", "us"), covering your use of Tovma, a meeting assistant that joins Google Meet calls, records them, and delivers transcripts and summaries ("the Service"). By creating an account or inviting the bot to a meeting, you accept them.
1. Will these terms ever change?
They may. If we make material changes we will notify you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the new terms; if you don't, stop using the Service and we will close your account on request.
2. What about my privacy?
Our Privacy Policy describes what data we process and why; it is part of these terms. One point worth repeating here: we may use meeting recordings and transcripts in de-identified form (direct identifiers removed) to improve the Service, including training or fine-tuning our transcription and summarization models. We never use identified meeting content for training, we never use data obtained through Google APIs (your Google Calendar data and Google account information) for training, and we never sell your data.
3. Are there age restrictions?
The Service is for people 16 and older. If we learn an account holder is under 16, we will close the account and delete its data.
4. What are the basics of using the Service?
You use the Service through an account created by signing in with Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that Google account secure and for everything done through your Tovma account. You may only use the Service in compliance with applicable law, and only for meetings you are entitled to record.
5. Recording consent — your responsibility
This is the most important clause in these terms:
You are solely responsible for providing any notices to, and obtaining any consents from, meeting participants that are required by the laws applicable to you and to them, before the recording starts. Recording-consent laws differ by country and by participant; you must know and follow the ones that apply to your meetings. You act as the controller of the meeting content you capture; Tovma acts as your processor in providing the Service.
The bot always joins as a visible, named participant ("◆ Tovma Bot") — the Service does not support covert recording — but the bot's visibility does not by itself satisfy consent requirements in all jurisdictions. Participants may ask you to remove the bot or may leave the meeting; you must honor such requests where the law requires it.
We accept no liability for recordings made without the required consent, and you will indemnify us for claims arising from them (Section 13).
6. Fair use and limitations
The Service is designed for ordinary meeting volumes. We may apply reasonable limits (e.g., concurrent recordings, meeting length, storage) and will publish them where they apply. Prohibited: reselling the Service, using it to harass or surveil people, attempting to access other users' data, and any unlawful content or purpose.
7. Who owns what?
Your meetings stay yours. You retain all rights to your recordings, transcripts, and summaries. You grant us the license needed to operate the Service on them (store, process, transcribe, summarize, deliver) plus the de-identified improvement use described in Section 2. We retain all rights to the Service itself — software, models, design, branding.
8. Accuracy of transcripts and AI output
Transcripts and summaries are generated automatically by AI. We make no warranty about their completeness or accuracy. They may be wrong, incomplete, misattributed, or misleading, and they are not a substitute for the recording itself or for professional advice. Verify before relying on or sharing them — especially before treating a summary as a record of what someone said or agreed to.
9. Will the Service change?
Yes — features may be added, changed, or removed. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give users reasonable notice and an opportunity to export their data.
10. Does the Service cost anything?
The Service is currently free during beta. If we introduce paid plans, pricing will be published, and no paid features will be enabled without your agreement.
11. What if I want to stop using the Service?
You can stop at any time and ask us to close your account at contact@tovma.cc. On closure we delete your account data within 30 days and your meeting content per the retention terms in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable.
12. Disclaimer of warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the bot will successfully join or record any given meeting.
13. Limitation of liability; indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or loss of data. Our total aggregate liability is capped at the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or €100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g., for intent or gross negligence).
You will indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your breach of these terms, including recordings made without legally required consent (Section 5).
14. Boring but necessary
- Partial invalidity: if a clause is held invalid, the rest remains in force.
- Force majeure: neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
- Assignment: you may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale of the Service, with notice to you.
- Governing law and disputes: these terms are governed by the laws of Serbia; the courts of Belgrade have jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
- Entire agreement: these terms plus the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us regarding the Service.
